Slow Food Seattle is dedicated to promoting diversity, multiculturalism and inclusion. We are fully focused on equity and believe deeply in diversity of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, national origin and all the other fascinating characteristics that make us different.

We are particularly looking for board members to lead in the following areas:

  • Treasurer. Maintains accounting of Chapter income and expenditures, leads the budget process, and files the Chapter’s simple annual taxes.

  • Membership Chair. Develops and maintains relationships with members and finds creative ways to encourage membership.

  • Food Justice and Policy Chair. Steers the Chapter’s advocacy work and provides civic engagement opportunities for our members.

BOARD SELECTION PROCESS

The nominating committee will evaluate the applications, possibly interview the nominee and determine who would be a candidate based on the attributes they would bring to balance the needs and existing strengths of the board. The committee will select candidates for board approval and circulate bios of the candidates to the membership by email. Slow Food Settle members will then vote online.

Please feel free to reach out to us to discuss your participation: info@slowfoodseattle.org.
